Dodge Charger Electric and Gas

Is the new Charger going to be electric, gas, or both?

The new Dodge Charger will be available in both all-electric and gas-powered versions. On the electric side, the new Charger Daytona will be offered in high-performance trims, including the R/T and Scat Pack. The gas-powered Charger will also come with all-wheel drive, and drivers will have the ability to disconnect the front axle for a rear-wheel-drive experience, preserving some of the classic muscle car feel. An eight-speed automatic transmission will be standard.

What is the horsepower, torque, and 0-60 performance of the new Charger?

The Charger Daytona R/T produces 456 horsepower with the ability to temporarily boost it to 496 and 404 lb-ft of torque. This produces an amazing 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds. The Scat Pack version will deliver an impressive 630 horsepower with 627 lb-ft of torque, enabling a 0–60 mph time of an unreal 3.3 seconds. Both trims use a 100.5 kWh battery and dual electric motors to provide all-wheel drive. The R/T variant is estimated to offer up to 308 miles of range, while the more powerful Scat Pack will offer around 241 miles. The Charger gas engine, known as the SIXPACK, will feature a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six "Hurricane" engine, available in two versions. The standard output produces 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. The high output delivers 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque with a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds. No matter which version you choose, performance will not be lacking in the new Charger.

What kind of interior does the new Charger have?

The Dodge Charger’s interior combines modern performance aesthetics with functional design and a style that draws inspiration from the classic 1968 Charger. The cabin features a dynamic, layered dashboard with wide-format digital displays. Ambient lighting reacts to the performance of the charger for a more responsive feel. A performance-focused steering wheel features a flat top and bottom design and a PowerShot boost button for select EV trims. A new pistol-grip shifter, start button, wireless charging pad, and model-specific badging add to the refined, high-tech layout. Standard seats are cloth or leatherette, with optional heated Nappa leather in black or Demonic Red. Performance trims offer high-back sport seats with fixed headrests and unique design elements.

What kind of features does the Charger offer?

The new Charger is loaded with dynamic features. It comes standard with a 10.25-inch or optional 16-inch digital cluster and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen that runs the Uconnect 5 system, with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Dodge Connected Services. Ambient lighting wraps around the cabin and reacts to Charger, offering 64 color options for a customizable, immersive feel. Audio options range from a standard nine-speaker, 506-watt Alpine system to a premium 18-speaker, 914-watt setup available across all trims. An optional head-up display shows key info on the windshield, and a special one-button press changes the car’s drive mode, updating the screen and HUD to match. Drivers can use the Dodge Digital Key on their phone to unlock and start the car or use the included smart card. A free Dodge app lets users check battery levels, plan charging, and find chargers remotely.

Dodge Charger Cargo Space

How much cargo space is available in the Charger?

The Charger features a liftback design, which leads to some of the best in-class cargo capacity. The 38.5 cubic feet of cargo space is actually 133% more than the previous charger. For the people that choose the Daytona EV, there is an additional 1.5 cubic foot front trunk.

Dodge Charger Muscular style

How “muscular” will the styling be—will it evoke the classic Charger look?

Both the Charger SIXPACK and Charger Daytona were heavily inspired by the Chargers of the late sixties and early seventies. The Charger blends classic muscle car design with modern styling and a bold widebody stance. The signature LED light that spans across the front, along with a new illuminated Fratzog logo, creates a unique style while still feeling plenty muscular. An optional full-length glass roof elevates the sporty look even further. Wheel options include standard 18-inch wheels on the Daytona R/T and 20-inch wheels on the Scat Pack. There are some slight differences between the gas model and EV model. The Sixpack (traditional engine) has a slightly more traditional muscle car front with functional intakes for its engine. The Daytona (EV) uses a unique aerodynamic design that includes a pass-through cutout as well as a debossed rear fascia. Overall, when you see the new Charger, it will be an unmistakable successor to the classic Charger.

Will the Charger still be a four-door sedan, or will it adopt two-door variants?

The new Charger will be offered in both two-door and four-door body styles, providing flexibility for performance and practicality. Dodge is clearly aiming to offer something for everyone—from fans of traditional gas-powered muscle to those ready to go fully electric.
