Brake Pads, Rotors, Linings and More: Brakes
Pads, Linings and Rotors are critical parts responsible for safely
stopping your Northlake Ram ProMaster City. They should be
inspected every time you have your oil changed, so you are
guaranteed they are there when you need them. (What a concept!) At the
same time, have your Northlake Service Technician inspect the parking
brake functions as well. Furthermore, and since we are all friends here and you know this already, aggressive driving tactics have a tendency to wear brake pads down faster than would normally
happen. As always, your mileage may vary. Contact your Northlake Ram Service Advisor, who will be happy to inspect the pads, linings, rotors and more during your next oil change.
Windshield Wipers:
Stop and go traffic, hot city driving, and other factors will do their
part to wear down a windshield wiper's durability and life expectancy.
After they get older, hard, worn down, cracked and brittle, you are up
the proverbial creek without a paddle. For that reason we think they
should be replaced with a new pair every six months. Your
Northlake CDJR service department stocks the proper wipers for your Ram ProMaster City for continued top performance. A Napleton Pro Tip:
When the wipers streak, spots or squeak, that's a good indication it's
time for replacement.Spark Plugs: Your MultiAir TigerShark engine is
equipped with spark plugs that are rated for a 100,000 mile lifespan.
Virtually care-free, they require no service during that time period.
Your Napleton Northlake Ram Service Department can offer Mopar-Approved
replacement plugs if needed. Your Ram Truck Owner's Manual andÂ
Northlake CDJR Service Advisor can also offer more extensive details.
All-Wheel-Alignment:
With proper inflation, your Northlake Ram ProMaster City
should find itself going down the straight and narrow, as far as vehicle
alignment is concerned. But what about the day you find yourself
drifting right or left while supposedly driving in a straight line.
That's a clear sign an alignment may be in order. The same thing,
if your Ram ProMaster City dives left or right while braking. Such
behavior, in addition to being annoying, can also lead to premature tire
wear. Properly aligned, your Northlake Ram ProMaster City should get
equal tire wear at all four corners. A Napleton Pro Tip: Always
rotate and balance your tires before settling down for an alignment.
That way, tire wear should equalize at all four corners of your
ProMaster. Finally, consult your owner's manual and your Napleton
Northlake Service Advisor for more information.
Once a month list:
Under the heading of once a month should do it, your Northlake
Ram ProMaster City's Owner's Manual suggests checking the engine oil level, the windshield washer fluid level, the tire pressure and to check for excessive tire wear. A quick inspection of coolant, and brake master cylinder fluid
levels, as well as all interior and exterior lights will insure you are
ready for a big road trip, or just a normal day's work. If after
consulting your Owner's Manual and you still have questions, the service
professionals at Northlake Ram Chrysler Jeep Dodge will be happy to help you further.
