Critter Removal at Northlake Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram

In South Florida, we have quite the menagerie: The Everglades to the Southwest, the oceans that surround us, the forest preserves in our backyards. As a result there is no shortage of wildlife. Whether turtles, possums, raccoons, squirrels, and snakes, oh my, we have it all. At Northlake Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we service all makes and models. Oil Changes, Tune-ups, Brake Jobs, Alignments, Tire Rotations and more. Every now and then, we go above and beyond.

Does your vehicle make odd noises or squeals after the car has turned off? Or perhaps a chirp or two from under the hood. That could mean you have a vehicular squatter of sorts. The Service Advisors at Northlake CJDR have seen them all. Several times, in fact!

At Northlake CDJR, we love your cars, trucks and SUVs. In addition to the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands that you are already familiar with, we are fully equipped to repair almost every other brand as well. So, while we might not be fixing an exotic that ends in "i" like a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Maserati, chances are excellent that we can get you on the road again in very short order. When things go high pressure, we go into high gear.

Should you suspect there's a critter underneath, our Northlake service technicians will be eager to check out your car, truck, minivan or SUV, whether it's brand new, a seasoned classic, a contemporary stunner or a trailer queen. Oh, and we've also found enough wild critters under the hoods of some vehicles to stock a local zoo.

Some of our success stories have included:

•    Squirrels. Very clannish, they take up residency and like to bring the whole family along, too. It's like an underhood version of the Modern Family TV show.

•    Snakes. There are some 50 varieties in Florida, but the good news is only six of the fifty are poisonous. It's up to you to figure out which six they are. Long and scaly, they enjoy cooler air like the rest of us, but every now and then, they like to warm up by coiling around a toasty six-cylinder.

•    Dogs. It doesn't matter what kind. Or how big. They'll just go searching for the largest and warmest area in which they will fit.

•    The all-stars, including rodents (rats), raccoons, and, field mice who also feel there's no place like a warm home.

•    Opossums. A year-round resident of the Sunshine State, they build nests inside the hood and around the engine, cozying up to the top of the manifold area which is perfect for keeping warm. Tiny houses, indeed, we say.

It's not only the warmth that's attracting these critters, it's the food. Huh, you ask? With their rather discriminating palates, animals have discovered that the automotive wiring and cable coverings under hood are now incorporating food-based by-products. As such, soy-based wire insulation is being used by more automakers and in the process is becoming a popular appetizer for critters with a taste for something savory.

So, if it feels you are traveling with an entire family, when the only human in the car is you, stop by your Northlake CDJR Service Department. We are proud of the experience our Northlake Chrysler service technicians have. If your vehicle needs a quick fix or even an extermination, stop in to see us today. Chances are we have seen it before and done it twice! And remember: Steak Sauce makes everything taste good.
