The 2010 Chrysler Town and Country is America's most trusted minivan that offers a good fuel economy. The 2010 Town and Country, mainly a carryover model from 2009, is available in three trim levels - Base LX, Touring and Limited.
Power and performance
The Base LX is powered by a 3.3-liter OHV flex fuel V6 engine rated at 175 horsepower. This engine is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Touring derives power from a 197 hp 3.8-liter V6 engine. A 251-hp 4.0-liter, V-6 engine is standard on the Limited. The last two power trains are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2010 Chrysler Town and Country offers the only six-speed automatic transmission available in a minivan. The available innovative six-speed transmission allows for seamless shifting and increased fuel efficiency. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard. The fuel economy works out at just 17 mpg city/24 mpg combined and 19 mpg combined.
Body and styling
An ace Chrysler minivan, the Town and Country received a complete makeover last year including new interior and exterior, a host of new and improved features like the 4.0-liter V6 engine. From 16-inch wheel covers to 17-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels, the Town and Country's wheel designs add to already appealing style statement.
A decently equipped minivan, the 2010 Chrysler Town and Country features front and rear suspension mounts, deep tint sunscreen glass, a power fold-flat third-row seat and more standard safety equipment. The Sirius Backseat TV that features three channels of kid-friendly video programming is also a prominent feature. Sirius Satellite TV, pop-out cargo-area-mounted flashlight and a driver door umbrella holder are some of the other features.
Stow 'n Go Seating and Storage System, where the second- and third-row seats fold directly into the floor, stain repel fabric, wood accents, overhead surround ambient lighting, bright LED lights and removable table, are available.
The 2010 Town and Country tows up to 3,600 pounds when equipped with the Towing Prep Package (With load-leveling suspension, heavy-duty engine cooling and wiring harness, allowing you to haul a jet ski, small boat or trailer on your road trip). The cargo space available is 140 cubic feet.
